Facts about Middle East & South Asia
FINCA has been in the Middle East and South Asia since 2004. FINCA Impact Finance subsidiaries include Afghanistan, Jordan and Pakistan. We fight poverty in the region by ensuring low-income and unbanked women and men can access basic financial services including:
• loans to build a business and grow livelihoods
• savings accounts to keep money safe and build a cushion for hard times
• money transfers to safely send money to family members living far away.
FINCA also uses fintech innovations like mobile wallets in Pakistan to reach those in remote areas and make banking easier and more convenient.
Through FINCA Ventures, we are improving access to basic services, like clean energy, in the region as well.
By offering financial and basic service products to Middle Easterners and South Asians living in poverty, we are providing a sustainable method for women and men to improve the quality of life for themselves and their families.
