Dan Smith

Vice President & General Counsel

Dan Smith is the Vice President and General Counsel of FINCA International, where he oversees legal operations worldwide.

Before joining FINCA, he spent 15 years with the international law firm White & Case, where he specialized in international finance, project development, joint ventures, and general corporate law. Earlier in his career, he worked with NGOs in Ghana, Somalia, Croatia, and Bosnia.

Dan holds a law degree from Harvard Law School and a master’s degree in international economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology from the University of Kansas.
