Snapshots of Resilience: Announcing the Winners of the 2026 FINCA Photo Competition

We are pleased to announce our 2026 winners of FINCA’s Global Photo Competition! Each year, FINCA invites its staff from around the world to capture and submit photographs that showcase the wisdom, talent, and lived realities of our customers. This year, we received nearly 300 photos. We invite you to browse the winning photographs which offer a powerful view into the people and communities we serve.

Charity Zimba, a group loan customer, uses FINCA Zambia’s mobile app to make her loan repayment. Digital financial services help customers access and manage their finances with greater convenience and flexibility.

After FINCA customer Iress Lungu’s mother passed away, she took over the family business and continued the legacy her mother built. With support from FINCA, Iress has expanded the business, strengthened her income, and carried forward her family’s entrepreneurial spirit.

Misak Gevorgyan has been a FINCA Armenia customer for five years. FINCA loans have allowed him to purchase livestock and grow his farm, build a new home, and strengthen his family’s livelihood through animal husbandry, farming, and fishing. 

 Looking ahead, Misak plans to expand the family’s cattle herd and increase milk production to create a more stable income and provide an education for his six children.

FINCA Kyrgyzstan customer Karimova Tursunay Abdyldaevna makes a batch of kurut (dried yogurt balls) with her two daughters. 

 With a loan from FINCA, she has grown her kurut business and built a home for her family, creating a brighter future for herself and her daughters.

FINCA Uganda customer Vicky Abur is a dedicated entrepreneur who sells nuts and nut paste. With FINCA loans, she expanded her business and purchased a grinding machine to process simsim (sesame seeds) and nuts more efficiently. The increased income has helped her send her four children to boarding school, creating new opportunities for their future.

From livestock farming to expanding into dairy production, Taalaybek Niyazbekovich Biiabev has steadily grown his business with support from FINCA since 2016. Over the years, he has used access to FINCA’s services to strengthen and diversify his operations, gradually building a more stable source of income.

Women entrepreneurs participate in a FINCA Uganda training session focused on financial empowerment and business growth. This initiative reflects FINCA’s commitment to helping women start, sustain, and expand their businesses and build their financial health.

Nassazi Teo has been a FINCA Uganda customer for 29 years. A dedicated entrepreneur, she owns and operates a business selling animal feed, serving local farmers and livestock owners in her community.

Obed Ngoya successfully runs her small business while actively saving and tracking finances through FINCA. By using the FINCA DRC mobile app, she can manage her savings more efficiently and keep her business running smoothly through greater financial accessibility.
