Gavin McGillivray

Gavin worked for the UK Government Department for International Development (DFID) from 2000 to 2020 and then for the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to 2021. Gavin headed the DFID / FCDO development office in India from 2017 to 2021. Prior to India, Gavin headed the DFID office in Myanmar, and DFID’s Private Sector Dept, Global Funds Dept and International Financial Institutions Dept in London. Gavin managed agricultural development programmes in Bolivia (1980-83), Honduras (83-86), Colombia (93-98) and the Caribbean (98-99). From 1986-93, he was based in London with the international corporate finance house Campbell Lutyens & Co Ltd, of which became an Executive Director. Gavin in married to Kate, who is an artist. They have a daughter, four sons and five grand-children.
