Zimbabwe-born Agrina Mussa is a business leader, diplomat and advocate for women’s equality and empowerment. She previously served as the High Commissioner of Malawi to South Africa, and currently represents Malawi in Kenya and Uganda.

Agrina began her career as a secretary at the United Nations Development Programme in Malawi. Thereafter, she became an entrepreneur, building Malawi’s first hosiery manufacturing and sales business in 1989 through her company Classic Designs Limited.

Agrina is a recognized business leader within Malawi and sits on a number of diverse committees and boards. She was the first female President of the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and served as the first vice-chair of the National Association of Business Women. She also served as chair of the Electricity Supply Commission of Malawi (ESCOM) and the National Food Reserve Agency as well as on the board of the Enumerical Church Loan Fund in Malawi.

Agrina has been involved with FINCA since 1994 and sits on the FINCA Malawi board. She holds a master’s degree in strategic management from the University of Derby.
