Scott Graham has extensive experience in microfinance and social performance management. He spent eight years overseas leading FINCA’s microfinance operations in Malawi and South Africa. After returning to the United States, Scott was instrumental in introducing new products and delivery channels benefiting low-income clients, especially savings, insurance and agency banking. He established BrightLife, a social enterprise by FINCA International in Uganda providing last-mile distribution and end-user financing for solar home systems, improved cookstoves and other basic needs products.
More recently, Scott helped to establish and lead FINCA’s customer research and field data services, covering areas such as financial inclusion, household consumption and living standards, business income and job creation, women’s empowerment, and the impacts of off-grid products. He has published several papers and articles on topics related to microfinance, social performance management and customer impact.
