The consolidated data from our investee portfolio reveals real advances \u2014 including 31% growth in outreach and a 42% increase in income for smallholder farmers \u2014 while also pointing to important dynamics shaping outcomes. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FINCA Ventures<\/a>, FINCA\u2019s impact investing arm, provides capital and hands-on support to innovative enterprises offering affordable, high-quality, and life-enhancing products and services across Sub-Saharan Africa in four critical resilience sectors: agriculture, health and wellbeing, financial inclusion, and education<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FINCA Ventures\u2019 2025 portfolio results tell a clear story: Our impact is measurable and growing. Across the portfolio, investees expanded access to financial services, increased smallholder farmer incomes, delivered clean water, and provided quality healthcare and education for millions of people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While we celebrate these gains, this year\u2019s portfolio data also highlights three key takeaways that are shaping our focus moving forward:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Impact can scale rapidly through high-growth business models, but can create portfolio concentration.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Depth of impact matters as much as outreach, especially in sectors like agriculture, where income gains and economic value transfer can tell a more meaningful story.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Data quality and transparency are essential to understanding inclusion metrics, and more work is needed to encourage sex-disaggregated reporting across the development sector. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        As of December 31, 2025, our 24 active investees are serving 16.8 million people \u2014 equivalent to reaching more than 200 individuals for every $100 invested<\/strong>. Our investees also increased smallholder farmers\u2019 direct income by 42%. This evidence demonstrates the powerful role early-stage catalytic capital plays in expanding access to essential services at scale.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        In 2025, a single high-growth fintech, Kuunda Digital<\/a> \u2014 a B2B fintech providing embedded liquidity and credit solutions through partner networks \u2014 drove the majority of our portfolio\u2019s outreach expansion, adding 5.1 million new users<\/strong> and accounting for 65% of the total people reached by all FINCA Ventures investees.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Excluding this outlier, total reach across the rest of the portfolio declined from 6.9 million to 5.7 million people, primarily due to the closure of one company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        This underscores a key dynamic in impact investing: Growth is rarely linear. With scale comes a risk of concentration, and concentration can introduce volatility in impact KPIs, often with real consequences for the people behind those numbers. By openly sharing our data trends, we aim to demonstrate the value that transparency can have for the sector as we collectively work to drive sustainable outcomes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
