Grid expansion has struggled to keep pace with population growth, and in the absence of reliable energy, people\u2019s health, safety, and productivity suffer.<\/p>\n<p>FINCA uses innovative practices and cutting-edge technologies to transform finance in underserved markets, including credit scoring and analytics, e-wallets and point-of-service biometrics.<\/p>\n<p>In Uganda, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fincacanada.org\/blogs\/fincas_brightlife_program_impacts_100000_lives_in_uganda\">BrightLife\u00a0<\/a>program has benefited over 100,000 people with life-enhancing clean energy products such as solar lanterns, solar home systems and improved cookstoves.<\/p>\n<p>In partnership with Government Affairs of Canada, FINCA is now running two financial inclusion programs, one in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fincacanada.org\/where-we-work\/latin-america\/haiti\">Haiti <\/a>and the other in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fincacanada.org\/where-we-work\/africa\/democratic-republic-of-congo\">Democratic Republic of Congo<\/a>.
