No Kids to Work
What if taking your child to work wasn’t a choice…
For many FINCA clients, it isn’t.
For those who participate in or support Take Your Child to Work Day, please keep FINCA’s hard working clients in your hearts and minds. Help make more dreams possible.
Merrie Saiti
Merrie wakes up early every morning to sell dried fish at a market in her community in Malawi. Her 8-year-old firstborn, Kenani, joins her every afternoon after school. While Kenani is learning the value of hard work, Merrie is working hard to grow her business. She dreams of sending Kenani and his siblings to university so that they can have a different future.
Fatima Mohammad Mussah
In Afghanistan, Fatima and her family survived both Soviet invaders and Taliban oppression. Life was never easy, but since FINCA arrived in 2004, the tailoring business you helped fund allowed her to earn enough to support her entire family. By Afghan standards, they are doing well. The future feels assured.
María Romana Vázquez Nicolás
On the other site of the world, 20-year-old María has similar dreams. With her FINCA microloan, she’s buying fruits and vegetables directly from local farmers and wholesalers, greatly increasing her profit margins. And though her young son currently plays among the inventory, María can see a future where she won’t have to.
