IN MEMORIAM
On November 27, 2022, Rupert Scofield, FINCA Canada’s co-founder, President, and CEO, passed away.
Rupert’s death is a monumental loss to FINCA Canada and the global community. Rupert constantly worked to break the cycle of poverty through groundbreaking thinking. He helped others see beyond how things are to how they could be.
Rupert believed that education was one of the keys to breaking the cycle of education, yet many families cannot afford to send their children to school. Therefore to celebrate Rupert’s life and continue to expand on his vision, we have—with blessing of his family—established the Rupert Scofield Scholarship Fund to help children of FINCA clients complete their education.
