On November 27, 2022, Rupert Scofield, FINCA’s co-founder, President and CEO, passed away.
Rupert’s death is a monumental loss to FINCA and the global community. Rupert constantly worked to break the cycle of poverty through innovative and revolutionary thinking. He helped people see beyond how things are to how they could be.
Before his passing, Rupert had decided to step down as FINCA’s President and CEO. To announce that decision, he wrote a letter calling on his “FINCA family” to continue to advance his work to eradicate poverty.
FINCA works in some of the poorest countries in the world. We provide people access to capital and life-changing products and services to improve their lives and lift themselves out of poverty.
